Every year, we host Christmas fiestas, or parties, for the families in our communities. They are a time for us to gather with our brothers and sisters, eat tons of tamales, sing carols, give toys to the kids, distribute meal packages to the families, pray, and most importantly, remember what the Christmas season is really about. It’s a joyful time of community and fellowship, and it is made possible by people like you!

In pandemic times, we are adapting our Christmas fiestas to keep our community, staff, and volunteers safe. We will be going door-to-door with grocery packages and toys for families, as well as hosting small fiestas at our children’s nutrition programs in Reynosa and Miguel Alemán. Our staff, all of whom are vaccinated, will also have our own fiesta.

How You Can Get Involved

1. Come and Participate!

Our fiestas will take place from December 14-16, 2021, and we would love to have you come help out and celebrate with us! We suggest arriving to McAllen on Monday, December 13, and departing on Friday, December 17. If you would like to come, email Colleen, and we will coordinate your visit! (Note: all visitors must be fully vaccinated).

2. Donate Funds

All of our Christmas activities are made possible by your support! You can donate specifically for the Christmas fiestas online or by sending a check payable to Faith Ministry to PO Box 756, McAllen, TX 78505.

3. Send New Soccer Balls

Soccer balls are one of the most popular gifts for kids here in Mexico! You can order soccer balls on Amazon and have them sent to our office at 510 N 21st St, McAllen, TX 78501.
