Getting the garden in Naranjito ready for the fall

Getting the Garden Ready for Fall

We are making improvements to our garden in Naranjito to get it ready for the fall season, and it is looking great! We finished the shade above the garden plots and added paved walkways to make it easier to walk around. We also built raised garden beds that we’ll use to grow seedlings that we’ll later plant in the ground. This fall, we’re preparing to plant lettuce, cabbage, carrots, beets, chili peppers and more. Plus, we have new projects we are working on around the area that we’re excited to get started on!

Send Congratulations to Ezequiel

One of our oldest employees, Ezequiel, will be retiring soon. Ezequiel has been a faithful employee since Faith Ministry started in 1994, and there are many of you who have known him for years. We would like to create something special for Ezequiel, so for those of you who have worked with him, we’re asking you to record a congratulatory video message and send it to us! Use your phone to record a short video (10 seconds max) and send it to Colleen at colleen@faithministry.org by Sunday, October 8.

Prayer Requests

We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:

  • All of those affected by the earthquakes and hurricanes that have devastated parts of the world this month, including our brothers and sisters in Mexico City and other parts of central and southern Mexico.
  • The mother of Betty, our nurse in Reynosa, who is struggling from severe health issues. Please pray for her health, as well as for Betty and her family.
  • Carmen, the wife of Benito, our pastor in Miguel Alemán, who is doing a little better, but still dealing with health issues. Please pray for her healing and recovery and for peace for their family.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Romans 12:12
