Using Your Skills and Talents
When you come to Mexico with a team, there are so many ways to serve beyond laying blocks and mixing cement at a house. We are witnessing that this week with a team from Charlotte, NC, who, in addition to building a house, brought with them three medical professionals who are seeing and treating patients at our medical clinic every day. What a blessing this has been to our community! We love seeing the ways in which mission work group members use the gifts God gave them to share and show the love of Christ to others here in Mexico.
There are so many ways for you and your team to serve here on the border – build a house, serve in the medical clinic, work in the garden, or help with our sewing, nutrition, or woodworking programs – or all of the above! Our schedule for 2017 is filling up quick, so if you are interested in bringing a team, get in touch! Check out our mission work group schedule to find a week that works for your team, and email Colleen for more information or to reserve your team’s week!

Progress at the Community Center
Our new community center in Miguel Alemán is looking great! Our staff and volunteers there have been working hard to put the finishing touches on the exterior before we stucco and begin painting. We are so excited to finally be able to see this dream take place, and we can’t wait to see the work God does in this space.
Prayer Requests
We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:
- Ezequiel, one of our foreman in Reynosa, and Dr. Joaquin, our doctor in Reynosa, who are both recovering from eye surgery and need your continued prayers for healing.
- PRAISE! The wife of Benigno, or Benny, one of our foremen in Miguel Alemán, is finally at home and feeling much better after dealing with many health issues.
- The town of Miguel Alemán continues to experience instances of violence. Pray for the safety of our community there and for peace throughout the town.
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
