Honoring Deantin’s Life

On November 2, we held a beautiful memorial service for our founder Deantin Guerra at our church in Reynosa. Hundreds of people joined us to honor his life, whether it was in person or virtually through our live stream on Facebook. We miss Deantin and the joy he brought to our lives each day, but we continue to push on and do the work he started, all in the name of Jesus and for His glory.

“Loving Jesus is not a one-day thing. Doing His work is not a one-day thing. Following Him is not a one-day thing. You’ve got to do it all the time.”
– Deantin Guerra

Mission Work Groups

We hosted two groups this month from North Carolina and Alabama who built a combined three houses, poured two roofs and had folks serve in the medical clinic. One of the teams also gifted around 200 pairs of shoes to kids and teens on their last night in Reynosa, which was an exciting event for the community. We are so thankful for the 21 teams that worked with us this year and the unforgettable relationships that each of those teams formed with our local community. If you’re interested in bringing a team in 2019, let us know!

Give a Meaningful Gift this Christmas

We all know how hard it is to shop for our family and friends around the holidays. This Christmas, give your loved ones gifts that truly make a difference through our Alternative Giving Program. Select gifts from our online catalog that represent a donation to our ministry, and we’ll send your loved one a card; it’s simple and easy, and it is a blessing to the families here in Mexico. Feliz Navidad!

Prayer Requests

We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:

  • Benito, our pastor in Miguel Alemán, who suffered a stroke earlier this week and is in the hospital. Pray for his healing and for the doctors, as well as for his wife Carmen and their three children.
  • Dora, our caretaker in Reynosa, who is still suffering from her wrist injury earlier this year. Pray for her as she decides whether to have surgery and as she continues to heal.
  • The family and friends of Deantin; pray for peace and comfort, especially during this holiday season.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Romans 12:12
