We’re excited to report the third house from our two matching projects is complete, and we’ll soon begin work on the fourth and final house. We also have some easy and not-too-expensive ways you can help Faith Ministry’s work along the border this Christmas.

Construction

First, an update on construction. With the year winding down, we’ve built 31 houses in 2012-24 in Reynosa and seven in Miguel Alemán. We’re expecting to build two more, and pour a couple of additional roofs. The most recent house completed is from our second matching event. Mayra Benitez and her son Juan Carlos now have a place to call home. We will soon begin work on the final house, for Maria Sandoval.

Handmade Ornaments

In an outpouring of love (and talent), the ladies in Reynosa and Miguel Alemán, who recently took up sewing, are creating wonderful ornaments, and they’re allowing us to sell them with proceeds going to Faith Ministry. You can order one or more online for $10 each at www.faithministry.org. They come in a variety of designs and colors, and most measure approximately 6 inches.

Facebook

Don’t forget to like us on Facebook and follow us there. We’ve been updating the progress of the teams as they visit, and we’ll continue to do that. And don’t forget to P4FM (pray for Faith Ministry) the first Friday of each month. We take this very seriously and set aside time for staff and volunteers to meet and pray at noon ET. We hope you’ll join us wherever you are.
