Wrapping Up Construction

A couple weeks ago, we welcomed the last mission work group of the year, who built the final house in Reynosa. Meanwhile, the staff and volunteers are wrapping up construction on the last house in Miguel Alemán this week. We are finishing 2015 with a total of 37 houses, which is the most we have built in five years! A huge thanks to all of you who made each of these houses possible this year!

If your team hasn’t done so already, sign up for your 2016 Mexico trip soon! Check out our online calendar to find a week that works for your team and email Colleen to sign up. If you are interested in bringing a team for the first time, let us know – we would love to work with you!

The team from Woodland Presbyterian in New Orleans built the final house, Casa #28, in Reynosa this month.

Christmas Fiestas

If you can believe it, Christmas is right around the corner! We’ll be celebrating with several fiestas December 13th to 20th in both Reynosa and Miguel Alemán for our staff and volunteers, the kids, and the church congregations. We will be giving out toys to the children and meal packages to the families, as well as eating, celebrating and worshipping together. Our prayer is that for these families, the fiestas would lift the burden of providing food and presents for their loved ones and allow them to focus on the true reason for this season: Jesus and his unconditional love for us.

Prayer Requests

We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for healing and peace for:

  • Luz, our construction supervisor in Miguel Alemán, who is recovering from appendicitis
  • Maricela’s son Edgar, who is suffering from frequent seizures
  • The health and safety of our families in Mexico, as we head into a colder time of a year

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
