Mission Work Groups

This month, we hosted two groups from Pennsylvania and North Carolina, each building a house and pouring a roof for a family in our community. They also delivered grocery packages, worked in our garden, helped with our children’s nutrition program, and had a blast hanging out with our staff and volunteers!

We are already starting to schedule teams for 2023 – can you believe it? If you’d like to bring a team, visit our website to learn more and view our calendar for available dates, and email Colleen for more information or to book a week!

A Trip to Indianapolis

This month, our associate director Colleen traveled to Indianapolis to speak at Old Bethel United Methodist’s Missions Sunday, alongside Faith Ministry founder Deantin’s daughter Annette and her husband Damon. It was a wonderful time to share about the ministry (you can view the service here) and fellowship with fellow Faith Ministry friends from all over the city!

Colleen and our executive director David are both available to travel to your church or city to visit, speak, and connect with others about the ministry, so get in touch with us. We would love to come visit you!

Prayer Requests

We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:

  • Ana Maria, our caretaker in the clinic, who is recovering from a shoulder injury; pray for her recovery and healing.
  • Omar, our administrator in Reynosa, who had knee surgery at the beginning of April following a fall; he is currently doing very well in rehab in Monterrey, so continue praying for his recovery.
  • The families affected by the tragedy this month in Uvalde, Texas, just under 300 miles northwest of us here in McAllen; our hearts and prayers are with everyone impacted.
  • The health of our staff, volunteers, Board of Directors, and friends around the world

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
