It’s spring along the border, and construction is in full swing. Here’s an update on Faith Ministry work in Reynosa and Miguel Alemán, Mexico.
Construction
We’re already building our third house in Reynosa and second in Miguel Alemán! Five teams have visited so far, which is a good start for 2014. We have 15 to 18 more teams tentatively planned for the year, but we can make room for others, so please contact David if you’d like to bring a team this year. There is much work to be done, many families needing homes.
Children in Miguel Alemán
We’re now feeding 15 children once per week in Miguel Alemán but hope to expand to three times per week. Children in the colonias often don’t get enough to eat, and we found from our work in Reynosa, the food we provide is often their main meal for the day. We’ve built a special center at our complex in Miguel Alemán to make the expansion possible, but we need additional support. Contact David Rodriguez at (956) 631-3567 if you’d like to help.
Anniversary
Plans are underway for our 20th anniversary celebration. You’re invited to join us October ??? for a special service and other activities. We’ll make details available as a committee determines plans.
Omar
Omar Saldaña, our administrator in Mexico, had to have surgery on his eye last week and is recovering. Keep him in your prayers. In fact, please remember all the Faith Ministry staff.
Thank you for all you do and for being a part of Faith Ministry. God is still at work along the border, and He is still giving us the privilege of being a part of the work. May He continue to bless you and your family.
