Mission Work Groups

This month, we welcomed three groups – First Presbyterian (Fayetteville, NC), Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian (Austin, TX), and Christ Lutheran (Charlotte, NC) – building a combined four houses! They also participated in programs with the community, including delivering grocery packages and helping with our children’s nutrition programs. It was a wonderful first half of our summer season!

Our 2024 schedule is completely full, but we are currently accepting groups for 2025. If you’re interested in visiting us and/or bringing a team to work with us, we’d love to have you. Get in touch with Colleen for more information!

Summer Interns

Our college leadership program is back at it this summer with a total of four interns! This month, we had to say goodbye to Kate from Charlotte, NC, but we also welcomed three new interns – Luis from McAllen, TX; Aubrey from Clayton, NC; and Nelson from Athens, AL. These bright young men and women have been a joy to work with, and they each bring something special to the Faith Ministry team!

If you will be 18 or will have graduated high school by May 2025 and this sounds like fun to you, stay tuned to our social media for applications for this program for next summer! We typically open up applications around January. If you have any questions, contact Colleen at colleen@faithministry.org.

Music Lessons

After a hiatus, our children’s music lessons are back up and running as of this month. Our instructor Julio is teaching children, youth, and adults the basics of music and playing guitar. This program, like our others, is thanks to your support and generosity. Muchas gracias!

Goodbye to Bris

This week, we had to say goodbye to our year-long intern from the Berea Bible Institute in Monterrey, Bris. If you’ve been to work with us in Reynosa in the past year, you have met Bris and know what a bright and shining light she is. She has been a crucial part of our team this year, and we are so sad to see her go. Join us in praying for her as she continues on the journey that God is leading her on! We have no doubt He will keep doing amazing things through her.

On a positive note, we are excited to soon welcome two new interns from Berea for their “month in mission” in Reynosa. Stay tuned to our social media to meet them!
