Hats Off to Our Graduates!

We are incredibly proud of all of our graduates, from the students in our scholarship program to those studying at Berea Bible Institute.

On July 4, a small group of our staff and team had the opportunity to visit Berea Biblical Institute to celebrate the recent graduates who completed the program and their two years of academic study. One of those graduates was Jose Luis, the son of our staff member, Sergio. It was a special day recognizing their hard work, perseverance, and dedication.

The celebrations didn’t stop there! On July 10, we honored the students in our scholarship program. Whether they graduated from primary school, secondary school, preparatoria (high school), or university, each student was recognized and celebrated. From Reynosa to Miguel Alemán, we rejoiced in the accomplishments of these incredible young people.

We are extremely proud of each of our students and can’t wait to see the amazing plans God has for their bright futures. Thank you to each and every one of our sponsors who help to make these achievements possible with their financial support and spiritual encouragement!

If you’re interested in learning more about our scholarship program or would like to sponsor a child in our community here in Mexico, please email Colleen or visit our website to learn how you can get involved.

We Love Our Mission Work Groups!

Praise God for an incredible month of July! Together, we completed Casas #15, #16, #17, #18, and #19, and poured the roofs for Casas #5, #8, #9, and #10.

None of this work would have been possible without our partnerships with First Presbyterian Raleigh (Raleigh, NC), Clayton Friends of Faith Ministry (Clayton, NC), and Myers Park UMC (Charlotte, NC).

Each family we serve, along with every member of our team, is incredibly grateful for your willingness to say “YES” and spend part of your summer sharing the love of Christ in both tangible and spiritual ways. Thank you for your faithful service, generosity, and commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of these families.

If you’re interested in joining us in Mexico, we’re already booking for 2027. We would love to partner with you! Check out our schedule and info online and get in touch with Colleen if you’d like to know more.

Medical Missions

Something new and exciting that came to the ministry this month was our medical mission team! The Irizarry family from Austin, Texas, joined us for three days to serve alongside Dr. Alondra and Nurse Juli as they gave back to the community.

Our team consisted of three incredible individuals – Jose, Milly, and Yuyza – who each made a meaningful impact on our community. Yuyza is currently studying to become an optometrist in Puerto Rico, and her mother is a psychologist who specializes in supporting children and families. Together, they worked with our medical staff and community members in Reynosa, providing training on eye evaluations, sharing valuable resources, and educating families about childhood development.

We are incredibly thankful that the Lord led them here to serve our community with their knowledge, compassion, and expertise. Their time with us was a tremendous blessing, and we look forward to welcoming them back again soon!

If you are a medical professional looking to expand your experience while serving in Reynosa, Mexico, we would love to have you join us. Learn more at faithministry.org/what-we-do.

Our Spiritual Growth Program is Growing!

Our spiritual growth continues to flourish, and we couldn’t be more excited. This past month, we had the privilege of hosting two students from Berea, Lluvia and Caleb. Throughout the school year, they have had the opportunity to join us on weekends here in Reynosa, and we were excited to see them deepen their connection with Faith Ministry.

From helping with our youth event earlier this month to leading worship songs and serving alongside our team in the nutrition program, they were willing to jump in wherever they were needed. Watching them lead, serve, and encourage our youth has been such a blessing.

We are praying for Lluvia and Caleb and are confident that God has incredible things in store for them. We look forward to seeing how He continues to work in and through their lives.

Our Incredible Team!

This summer has been filled with incredible people, and we want to give a huge shoutout to our interns. None of this work would have been possible without their dedication and servant hearts.

We were grateful to have our good friend Luis return to help with three of our mission teams this summer, and we were also excited to welcome Heidy to the team this month. Having grown up around the ministry, Heidy has been a wonderful addition. It has been amazing to watch her gifts and talents shine as she served with both our Spiritual Growth team and our short-term mission teams.

As we wrap up the summer, we want to give a special thank you to our two incredible interns, Ryan and Eva, who have returned home after spending an unforgettable season with us.

Eva spent the past two months with our team and was such a tremendous help. She consistently took initiative, jumping in wherever help was needed without hesitation. Her willingness to serve, and dedication made a lasting impact, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everything she contributed this summer.

Ryan has been with us since the beginning of March and has been an incredible blessing to our team. He was a huge help around the complex and played an important role in serving alongside our mission work groups. Whether he was translating, teaching, or working alongside our staff and volunteers, Ryan served with a willing heart and made a meaningful impact on everyone he encountered.

We are definitely going to miss having our interns around the ministry this fall, but we know God has great things ahead for each of them. We can’t wait to see where He leads them next!

If you’ve been thinking about serving with us, be on the lookout this winter when applications open for our Summer 2027 College Leadership Program. We’d love to have you join the team!

Birthday Celebrations Around the Ministry!

Celebrate with us as we recognized three special team member birthdays this month! During July, we had the opportunity to celebrate three of our team members’ birthdays: Don Beto, Agueda, and Ciro.

We are so thankful for the hard work, faithful service, and joy that each of them brings to our ministry, both in Reynosa and Miguel Alemán. They are a tremendous blessing to our team and to everyone they serve.

Please join us in celebrating these three wonderful individuals and praying for them as they begin another year. We pray that God will continue to guide, strengthen, and bless them in all that He has planned for the year ahead.

Prayer Requests

We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:

  • For Juan, the brother of Nurse Julie, as he continues to face health challenges. Pray that God would bring him healing, strength, and encouragement during this time.
  • For the staff here at Faith Ministry, for their health, rest, and well-being as they recover from a full and rewarding summer season. Pray that God would renew their strength and prepare them for the ministry opportunities ahead.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Romans 12:12

This isn’t Goodbye; It’s See You Later

This month, our dear friend and staff member Montejano has taken the next step in both his career and personal life by moving near his family in Monterrey, Nuevo León.

We are incredibly thankful for the time he has spent serving with Faith Ministry. From interning with us as a Berean student, to completing his year of service, and most recently serving as a staff member, Monte has faithfully invested in our ministry and the people we serve. His dedication, servant’s heart, and friendship have been a true blessing to our team.

While we will certainly miss having him here, we are excited to see how God will continue to lead and use him in this new chapter. We know God has great plans for Monte, and we ask that you join us in praying for him as he begins this next season of life.

Thank You!
