Mission Work Groups

This month, we had our first mission work group of the year! The team from Trinity Lutheran in Indianapolis built Casa #1 for José and his family. It was a wonderful week working and celebrating in fellowship alongside one another.

We still have spots available for 2016, so if you are interested in bringing a mission work group down to Mexico, get in touch! Check out our mission work group schedule to find a week that works for your team, and email Colleen for more information or to reserve your team’s week!

Update from Naranjito

As many of you know, in addition to Reynosa and Miguel Alemán, Faith Ministry works in a third area called Naranjito. It’s located toward the outskirts of Reynosa, about 20 minutes from our main complex. In recent years, violence has plagued this community, which has restricted our work there. However, we are happy to report that Naranjito is growing, and our activities there are going very well! Our missionary Carlos leads services in the church there Sunday and Wednesday evenings, and the community maintains a garden there, growing everything from red chilli peppers and sugar cane to radishes and peaches.

The team from Trinity Lutheran headed out there this month to help clean the grounds and play some soccer, and next month, another team from Indianapolis will be out there painting a mural, which they’ve done beautifully in the past (as you can see in the picture below). Please continue praying for this community and that we would be able to share the love of Christ with the people who live there!

Prayer Requests

We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:

  • Timoteo (the youngest son of Ezequiel and Petra) has started getting seizures, but they aren’t sure why. Pray for peace, patience and healing, as they try to figure out the cause and hopefully find a way to treat them.
  • Beto (known to many as either Alberto or Gilberto) is experiencing stomach issues that are affecting his digestion and may require surgery; pray for healing and guidance.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Romans 12:12
