Jesús te ama!
In Spanish, “Jesús te ama” means “Jesus loves you.” When we think of the month of February, love often comes to mind. However, here at Faith Ministry, our intention is to demonstrate the love of Christ through our actions, led by compassion.
This month, our Spiritual Growth Program hosted two special events centered on reflecting upon the love of God, one for our youth and another evening dedicated to couples. Together, they explored how their hearts can be transformed each day by walking faithfully with Christ.

An Update from the Directors
There was an incident this month in the state of Jalisco in central Mexico that had ramifications across cities in other states, including Reynosa. Fortunately for us, it was isolated to Sunday, February 21, and we were able to resume our normal activities the following day with our staff, volunteers, and the visiting group from Indiana. We addressed the situation promptly here, and Colleen shared a video update on social media.
As always, the well-being of our staff, volunteers, and mission work groups remains our highest priority, and we commit to transparency and clarity with our wonderful Faith Ministry family.

Our Second Mission Trip for All!
Earlier this month, we hosted our second-ever Mission Trip for All! This group of seven participants has either been involved with Faith Ministry in the past or is currently serving in various capacities. From former interns to board members, from student sponsors to short-term mission volunteers, each person shares a deep love and commitment to our community here in Reynosa.
Together, they helped build Casa #2 and participated in several of our ongoing programs, including grocery distribution, supporting our infant formula program, and planting and gardening in Naranjito in memory of Don Jose.
If you don’t have a group to travel with, can’t commit to a full week, or have never visited and would love to learn more about what we do, this trip is for you! Our next Mission Trip for All will take place June 17–21, 2026. Registration is now open on our website!

Our Friends from Indiana
This month, we also had the incredible opportunity to serve alongside our friends from Meridian St. UMC in Indianapolis, IN. This resilient group brought great energy and enthusiasm as they worked on a variety of projects, including painting homes, installing pergolas, and adding beautiful pops of color with plants, just to name a few.
Their generous hearts and hands-on involvement have meant the world to us as they build Casa #3 and #4 for families in our community!
If you’re interested in joining us in Mexico, we still have spots available later this year. We would love to partner with you! Check out our schedule and info online and get in touch with Colleen if you’d like to know more.

A Visit from our Board of Directors
There was no better way to end the month than with a special visit from our Board of Directors! All twelve members traveled to Mexico, not only to pour the roof for Casa #26 of 2025, but also to help lay the groundwork for the ministry’s continued growth and success in the months ahead.
Their dedication to coming together and cultivating a community of leaders united in Christ gives us great confidence as we move forward on the path before us and continue the work we are called to do each day.

We Love to Celebrate!
This month, we had the joy of celebrating some of the wonderful members of our ministry team. Montejano and Lupita both celebrated their birthdays in February!
In addition to these two special birthdays, our team member Bryan and his wife, Escarlet, welcomed their second son, Efren Ezequiel, on February 17.
We invite you to join us in celebrating these special moments and keeping each of these individuals in your prayers.

Prayer Requests
We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:
- For Vicki, the mother of our executive director David, that her health would strengthen and those around her
- For Sergio, one of our support staff in Reynosa, that he would get answers and wisdom from professionals who are helping him
- For Margarita, the mother of our office manager Sandra, whose cancer is back and who recently lost her last surviving sister
- For Imelda, the mother of our spiritual growth staff Montejano, who suffered from some health problems later in the month
- Our beautiful country of Mexico, that the Lord would give all who are here His peace
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
