A team and a family after spending the week building a house together

Mission Work Groups

We had teams come and work with us this month from Pennsylvania and Indiana! They built two houses, helped out in the children’s nutrition program, worked in the garden, painted in Naranjito, taught music lessons, and formed relationships by showing the love of Christ.

We still have slots open for 2017; if you or someone you know is interested in bringing a team to Mexico, let us know! Check out our mission work group schedule to find a week that works for your team, and email Colleen for more information or to reserve a week!

New Carpentry Projects

Our woodworking shop has been going great, and we are enjoying trying out new projects! Recently, a team donated the funds to build two individual beds for the children of the home they built. They turned out great, and we’re excited to keep building next month. If you’re coming with a mission work group this year, keep this in mind as a housewarming gift to the family you build for!

Community Center Update

The doors and windows are in at our community center in Miguel Alemán! The next step will be finishing up the stucco and doing the floors. We can’t wait to open this center and use it for blessing our community in many different ways. Thank you to all who have been supporting this project!

Prayer Requests

We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:

  • Colleen and her family; her dad Matt passed away last week after a nearly five-month battle against a rare autoimmune disease. Pray for peace and comfort for his family during this difficult time.
  • David’s father, David, Sr., who is very weak and struggling with serious health issues. Pray for strength and healing for him, as well as for David’s mother and others in Monterrey who are caring for him.
  • The one-year-old daughter of Fernando, one of our long-term volunteers, who is awaiting important health test results. Pray for peace and patience for Fernando and his family.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
