House Construction in Reynosa

This month, we were visited by a mission work group from Old Bethel United Methodist in Indianapolis. In addition to many other activities, they built Casa #2 for Teresa, Guillermo and their three kids. They also poured the roof on the last house from last year, which means we have officially wrapped up house construction from 2015!

We still have spots for mission work groups available for 2016, so if you are interested in bringing a team down to Mexico, get in touch! Check out our mission work group schedule to find a week that works for your team, and email Colleen for more information or to reserve your team’s week!

Mural Painting in Naranjito

A few years ago, the team from Old Bethel started painting murals on the walls of our church grounds in Naranjito, and they continued that project this year! With the help of children at their church in Indiana, our children and youth here in Naranjito, and a couple of talented local artists, they painted seven fantastic murals, as well as the fence surrounding our church garden. The final results, as you can see, are beautiful!

Exciting News in Miguel Alemán

The walls of our new community center in Miguel Alemán are complete! This is a project that we have been dreaming about for years, and we are so excited that it is finally becoming a reality. Our hope for this building is that it will be a place of fellowship and community for families in Miguel Alemán, where we can serve meals as part of our nutrition program, hold VBS classes, and much more. Stay tuned for more updates!

Prayer Requests

We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:

  • Ezequiel, who has been dealing with various health issues, including knee and heart problems; he is also having vision problems which may require surgery. He and his wife Petra’s youngest son Timoteo is also having health problems, so please pray for their entire family.
  • Ana, one of our volunteers, who has a close cousin who is battling cancer and was recently hospitalized. Please pray for peace and healing.
  • The father of our missionary Carlos, who has been experiencing problems with his health. Pray for healing for him and peace and patience for him and his family.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
