Christmas Fiestas Serve More Than 2,000

The joy of Christmas spread across Reynosa, Naranjito and Miguel Aleman in December as Faith Ministry fiestas served some 2,030 people. More than 1,200 children enjoyed games, music, food, Santa and a gift at three fiestas. Nearly 800 adults took part too. And volunteers distributed 140 food packages to families in the colonies. There was also a fiesta for staff. Your gifts and participation made it all possible.

Board President Completes Term

Faith Ministry depends heavily on its board, and heading up the group is a very active president. Dave Stoltzfus has served two years, but his term comes to an end this month. Dave has particularly used his gifts to further the music program, teaching, and coordinating concerts for local musicians.

Year-End Giving Still Possible

Just a reminder that you can still give to the work of Faith Ministry and get tax credit for 2024. Gifts must be postmarked by Dec. 31

Prayer Requests

We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:

  • The ministry and its work along the border for the coming year. We’ve been at work for over 30 years, have built thousands of houses, served countless patients in the medical clinics, sponsored many children in school and fed children for years, and we pray for the continued privilege to serve and show God’s love to families in tangible ways.
  • Don José, our gardener, woodworker, and nightguard in Naranjito, who has completed cancer treatment, but awaits next steps
  • Agueda, our secretary in Miguel Alemán, whose mom passed away this month
  • The health of our staff, volunteers, Board of Directors, and friends around the world

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Romans 12:12

In Case You Missed It

We welcomed a new member to the Faith Ministry family this month! On December 4, our associate director Colleen Hernandez and her husband Cruz welcomed their daughter, Liliana Grace Hernandez. Both mom and baby are happy and healthy, and everyone is in love with Lily!

From Colleen:

I want to thank everyone for all of the love and support that Cruz and I have experienced throughout my pregnancy and in this new chapter of our lives! We are incredibly thankful to have such a wonderful and loving Faith Ministry community across the U.S. and in Mexico. We feel all of the love and prayers and appreciate them greatly. While I’ll be out and soaking up all the newborn time through the first several weeks of 2025, I am looking forward to catching up with all of you when I am back. Thank you again; we love you all!

Thank You!

Thank you for everything you do to support Faith Ministry! We appreciate your donations, your prayers, and your dedication to the ministry.
