Christmas Fiestas, A Huge Success!

Over the course of four days this month, we had six different Christmas fiestas in Reynosa and Miguel Alemán, and they were absolutely wonderful! At these fiestas, we served close to 1,000 people with fellowship, food, prayer, singing, toys and candy for the children, and grocery packages for families. Plus, since we had such an amazing response this year from all of you, we had a surplus of toys that will go to bless another 350 kids in Reynosa, Miguel Alemán and Monterrey! Friends from North Carolina, Indiana and Texas came down to help out, and we had a blast with them and appreciated all their help. A huge thank you to all of you who supported these fiestas and made them possible! We’re already looking forward to next year and hope some more of you will join us for this blessed time of celebration!

Come to Mexico in 2017!

If you or someone you know is looking for a missions opportunity, get in touch! We would love to work with you and your group. Spending a week here with a mission work group is an unforgettable experience. Not only will you build a house for a family in need and serve your brothers and sisters in Mexico, but you’ll develop deep and meaningful relationships that are unlike any others. Don’t miss this opportunity to share and show the love of Christ to others! Check out our mission work group schedule to find a week that works for your team, and email Colleen for more information or to reserve a week!

Muchas Gracias!

To each and every one of you: thank you. Whether it is through donations, prayers, or being part of a mission work group, you make the work we do possible. We grew even more in 2016 – starting new programs, expanding existing ones, working with new teams, and blessing even more families here on the border. Having your support means so much to us because it reminds us daily that we are not alone and that we have friends all over the world that we can count on. You had a part in making this year a fantastic one, and we are incredibly grateful for your support. We are excited to see what God does here in Mexico in the coming year, and we are glad to have you along for the ride. From all of us here at Faith Ministry, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

Prayer Requests

We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:

  • Priscila, the daughter of Pastor Benito in Miguel Alemán, who will begin a year-long training program early next month in Mexico City with the national track and field team. We are so proud of her; pray for strength and endurance for her, as well as for her family who will miss her!
  • Milagros, the 7-year-old daughter of Casa #7 of this year, who was recently hospitalized and is now recovering at home from severe health complications stemming from her premature birth. Pray for healing for Milagros (her name in Spanish means “miracles”), for wisdom for the doctors, and for comfort and peace for her entire family.
  • The families in our communities who struggle to stay warm when temperatures drop and the weather gets chilly on the border. Pray for their safety throughout this winter season.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Romans 12:12
