First Friday for Faith

December 1, 2010|News|

During this time of periodic violence and unrest in Reynosa and Miguel Alemán, our Mexican friends are particularly in our thoughts and in our hearts. I feel helpless, and somewhat at a loss to know just what to do. I suspect that you may as well.

My spirits were greatly uplifted after reading a devotional with the scripture 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” The text explained that without Him, we can do nothing, but with Him, we can do anything that needs to be done. Whatever we do in life, we should first take it to God in prayer and seek His help. By allowing Him to work through us, we can achieve the success that would otherwise be unattainable in our own strength.

This Friday, December 3, Faith Ministry will begin a prayer time to be held on the first Friday of each month at 12 noon ET/ 11:00 am CT. This is a time in which our Faith Ministry friends in both the U.S. and Mexico will all pray at the same time.

Take a few moments this Friday at noon ET/11 am CT to pray for Faith Ministry and its people. Let God know your fears, concerns, expectations and hopes.

Together we can “make a difference to that one.”

Peace and Blessings,

Renie Mills

President, Board of Directors of Faith Ministry
