Back to School

For kids around the world, the month of August means back to school, and it’s no different for the kids here in Reynosa and Miguel Alemán! Through our scholarship program, sponsors support more than 140 students, giving them an opportunity to exceed in school and have a brighter future. Even though school in Mexico is free, the costs of uniforms, transportation, supplies, and food build up and create a burden for families. A scholarship helps relieve that burden.

You can sponsor a student this school year for as low as $38 a month. If you’re interested in sponsoring a student and inspiring them to achieve their dreams in school, contact Colleen or visit us online.

VBS in Reynosa

This month, our church in Reynosa hosted Vacation Bible School (VBS), or Escuelita Biblica de Verano (EBDV), for around 35 kids. From Tuesday to Saturday, the kids, with the help of teens from the church, played games, learned Bible stories, ate, and celebrated in fellowship with one another. It was a great week for all!

Prayer Requests

We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:

  • Benito’s son Genesis, who is recovering from surgery to remove a tumor that spread from his mouth to his eye (Benito is our pastor in Miguel Alemán)
  • Maricela’s mother, who is battling cancer
  • Francisca, Lupe’s wife, who continues to have issues with her kidneys

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
