We’re happy to report we have another offer of a challenge house; we’re calling it Challenge House Dos. The challenge houses – a donor agrees to fund one house if the rest of us can raise the money for another – are a great way to get two houses for the price of one and to help Faith Ministry continue its construction work along the border, even though the number of visiting teams began declining with the flu pandemic in 2009 and continued with incidents of violence in the region.

And while we’re on the subject, we’re also happy to report the teams that have visited this year have found a peaceful (if not hot) region in which to work. The number of teams visiting is finally increasing! So, we hope our supporters will pitch in and fund Challenge House Dos. We have approximately 40 families working and waiting for homes. The need is great, but God is still at work through his children among the “poorest of the poor.”
