More Teams, More Blessings
Spring is certainly a busy time for us – in the past two months, we’ve had eight teams, a total of 115 people, come down to work with us! Three of those teams came in April and brought with them a ton of joy and love and hard work. The teams and our volunteers built four houses, a dentist extracted countless teeth, youth of all ages sang songs and did crafts with twenty kids each day, and we all had a blast!
If you would like to bring a team down to Mexico, we still have weeks available in the fall of 2017 and are already scheduling teams for 2018! Check out our mission work group schedule to find a week that works for your team, and email Colleen for more information or to reserve a week!
A Visit to Miguel Alemán
One of the teams this month had the opportunity to spend a day in Miguel Alemán! They visited our new community center, which is under construction and making great progress, and they spent time with our staff and volunteers there, catching up and enjoying a delicious meal together. It was encouraging for our staff and volunteers in Miguel Alemán to have a team visit, and we all had a great day together!
A New Home for Carlos
After many months of hard work by our staff and volunteers, the new pastoral house in Reynosa is finally complete, and Pastor Carlos is moving in! We want to help make this house a home for him, and we’d love for you to pitch in, starting with the kitchen. Buy something off his wishlist on Amazon, and it will be shipped right to our office (and be sure to use Amazon Smile to benefit Faith Ministry!). Happy housewarming, Carlos!
If an item is not able to ship the Faith Ministry registry’s address (our PO box), you can use our street address – 510 N 21st St, McAllen, TX 78501.
Prayer Requests
We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in praying for:
- Deantin, who has been in and out of the hospital, dealing with various health issues. Pray for his health and for wisdom for the medical professionals, as well as comfort for his family.
- Yadira, our secretary, whose uncle passed away this week. Pray for comfort and peace for their family during this difficult time.
- PRAISE! Julio, or Chuky, is doing much better and is suffering from fewer headaches. Pray that he continues to stay healthy.
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
