Mission Work Groups

We have had the opportunity to welcome 9 mission teams to Mexico so far this year! We just finished building Casa #10 in Reynosa, and our staff and volunteers is building Casa #3 in Miguel Aleman this week. The teams have not only been hard at work on the job site, but they have also been helping out with our nutrition program and have hosted VBS for the children in the community. It’s been a great opportunity for team members to witness God at work through different areas of our ministry, and the kids have loved having them!

If you’re interested in bringing a team down to Mexico, we would love to have you! We still openings for teams to come this summer and fall. Contact David or Colleen for more information!

Matching Challenge

Our 2015 Matching Challenge is still underway, and we only have $4,000 left until we reach our goal! This month, we were able begin building two of the challenge houses — the first for Elizabeth, Pablo and their son Ruben in Reynosa and the second for José Luis, Norma, and their three kids in Miguel Alemán. Help us reach our goal by giving today online at faithministry.org/give or by sending at check to PO Box 756, McAllen, TX, 78505, and spread the word to your friends and family. A new home for each of these four families would be an answered prayer for each of them, so we thank you for supporting them and this ministry!

Activities in Miguel Alemán

Our nutrition program in Miguel Alemán is going well, as we are serving breakfast to around 15 kids one to two times a week. We also expanded the program to a colonia in the town called Los Presidentes, where we serve food once a month and host VBS activities. Meanwhile, the church community there is thriving, with around 70 people regularly attending church. They are also helping out at our facilities there in any way they can, such as giving the church a new coat of paint!

Please keep the community in Miguel Alemán in your prayers. The area continues to experience violence, and we would appreciate your prayers for the staff and families that live there.
