Building Houses
Each year, Faith Ministry coordinates the work of some 100 house-building teams in Reynosa and Miguel Alemán, Mexico. Churches, youth groups and universities are among those who send volunteers - usually for a week - to build a 12'x24' concrete block house for a Mexican family. The family and other Mexican volunteers join in, and one-by-one, a few more people are able to move from cardboard, tin and scavenged wood houses to homes that are strong and secure, and protects them from the weather. During their visits, teams usually stay in one of our three compounds, located in the heart of the areas where the need is greatest.

Operating Medical Clinics
Faith Ministry currently operates two medical clinics, one in Reynosa, the other in Miguel Alemán, Mexico. A new clinic is under construction outside Miguel Alemán.
With a staff of two doctors and two nurses, we provide basic medical care to more than 1,000 residents of the colonias where we're located. We also coordinate visiting American teams who provide medical and dental services in the clinics several times each year. We also operate a nutrition program, primarily for children of the colonias.

Sponsoring Children
Public education is free to the children of Mexico, but many can't afford uniforms, books, transportation or food. Faith Ministry coordinates the sponsorship of more than 100 children who otherwise wouldn't be in school.

Building Faith and Community
Faith Ministry volunteers work as a tangible expression of God's love, following the command of Jesus to love the poor. Americans not only work alongside Mexican families and volunteers but worship with them as well in three churches staffed by the organization. Our facilities are located in the areas where we build, contributing to the sense of community among all participants.
